Here is what we did today!

Lunch/Recess

Phonics: Today we continued working on the "th" sound. First we talked with our partners about all the "th" words that we can think of. Next we made a list of words that have the "th" sound in it. Finally we talked with our partners about sentences using the words we thought of.

Journal: Today we wrote about "Our special guest was a...". The kids wrote about what they learned and their favourite part. They are starting to improve on their writing! Good work!

Arts Night: We watched a short film on peter pan as this is the fairy tale that we are doing for arts night! This will help them understand the story and what they are going to be dancing. We are going to be singing "follow the leader". Stay tuned for more information!

Lunch/Recess

Math: We practiced all of the coins, what they have on them, what their name is and how much they are worth many times today! This is really important that they know all of these answers for the test as this will make it easier for them! Next we completed a worksheet in which they had to match each coin to how much they are worth. While this was happening we played store! The police officers gave us some goodies and I invited each person to the store and they picked an item they wanted to buy. Next I gave them an amount that that item cost and which coin I wanted them to use to make that amount. When they got the answer right they were able to take the item. They did really well!
