Last day of school!

Hello,

We had such a fun day! Thank you everyone for an amazing year! I am so proud of these kids and how far they have come! They have made me smile and laugh every day and made my introduction to SJA amazing. I will miss them so much this summer! Thank you for making this an amazing year.

Here is what we did on Friday.

Calendar: Today our routine was led by Zia.
Awards: Next we handed out our fun awards!

Movie: Next we watched the lego movie and a dance party!

Lunch/Recess

Assembly: We ended the day having house games and handed out awards.

Shreya won the reflective award from Mrs. Kerr!
Jordan won the reflective award for our class!
Kashish won the principled award for our class!
Justin and Aashrith recieved their spelling bee awards!

Dance Party: We ended the day having a dance party!

UOI: Today we started working on your fathers day surprise! First we brainstormed different things that we could do that would be nice for our dads. With this list, they chose 6 options for our card. The students will be completing their cards tomorrow.

Lunch/Recess

Math: Today we reviewed patterning! First we sat on the carpet and talked about the different patterns that we remembered. We used blocks to figure out how to make them. Next we got into partners and made some patterns together. They had a lot of fun!
Reading: Today we read "Give me back my dad" by Robert Munsch.

Graduation day!

Hello,

We started off the day graduating from SK! Congratulations to everyone! There was a small misprint on the certificates so they will be reprinted and given out this week.

Calendar: Today our routine was led by Ethan.
Phonics: Today we verbally went over the long vowels sounds and various words with those sounds.
Pictures: We took some pictures of our graduates! While they were waiting they read independently or with a partner.

Book: We read a book called " Edward and the Eureka lucky wish company". They loved it!

Lunch/Recess

Journal: My favourite part of SK was...They are getting so good at journal! Almost everyone can write four sentences independently.
UOI: Today I gave everyone a picture saying 2016 and they got all of their friends to sign them. Next they coloured them. This is a nice keepsake for the future!

Lunch/Recess

Math: We reviewed subtraction today! I put them into groups and they had to use dice to create subtraction questions and practice finding the answer using blocks.
