Day 135

Hello,

Here is what we did today.

French: Please see Mlle Jessica's blog for more information.
Calendar: Today our routine was led by Aashrith.
Phonics: Today we continued to talk about the "ue" sound! We made a list of words that have the "ue" sound in them. Next we completed a worksheet in which they had to sound out each word and then paste a picture to match each one.
Spring Fundraiser: Today we learned that we are almost at our goal of $9,000! Please continue to bring in those pledges!

Lunch/Recess

Art: Please see Ms. Kerr's blog for more information.
UOI/journal: Today we had some people who did not finish their summative. While some worked on that, other people completed their journal. They had to think about two things that they wanted to know more information about a particular community helper and phrase them in a question. They practiced being inquirers!

Lunch/Recess

Math: Today we reviewed 2D and 3D shapes. First I placed all of the shapes on the floor and we went over the names of each shape. Next I placed the written names of each shape on the floor face up and asked each student to match them to the correct picture. Everyone had a turn and got the answers right. Next we went over the vertices, edges and faces of each 3D shape. They are doing really well on shape and I think they are ready for the test tomorrow!
Daily Five: Today we practiced writing our spelling words for the test tomorrow!

Have a great night!

Miss. Ross
