Zia reached the stars ten times last week! Great work Zia!
Here is what we did today!
French: Please see Mlle. Jessica's blog for more information
Calendar: Today we our routine was led by Isis.
Phonics: Today we continued to talk about the sound "th". We sang the "th" song together then made a list of words that have that sound in it. Next we used play-doh to make the words with the "th" sound from memory.
Gym: Please see Mr. Slyk's blog for more information.
Lunch/Recess
Library: Today we exchanged our books for new ones! We are learning how to choose books appropriate to our reading level.
UOI: Today we started talking about police officers! First we made a list of things we already know about police officers.
Next we read a book called "Let's meet a police officer". Following that we added the information that we learned from the book into our web. This information is written in brown. Following this we started writing letters to police officers! They did so well and I am so proud of them. We have a special visitor tomorrow! A police officer is coming to visit us and we are going to give her our letters! Stay tuned for pictures!

UOI: We had a few minutes to finish our letters.
Math: As we have our math test on Friday. We continued to practice for math. I put all different coins on the board and I told each student to find a particular coin and tell me how much it is worth. Next I told them to use that coin to make a certain amount on the board. We practiced counting in 2's. Finally we went over many times which picture is on which coin. Keep working on those coins!
