Here is what we did on Friday.
Calendar: Today our routine was led by Ethan.

Phonics: Today we presented our show and shares! We talked about how to spell them and the sounds that they make. Here are some pictures!
Journal: As it was a crazy day we didnt have time to do a regular journal. Instead we wrote a journal together on the board. The students told me what to write and where I needed to capitals and periods. It is a good reminder of what the expectations are and more ideas of what they can write in their journals.
Lunch/recess
UOI: Today we finished off our summative. They finished drawing the pictures and writing the sentences. They did a great job!
We didn't have French today as the schedule changed due to International Mindedness day.
Lunch/Recess
International Day: The afternoon was spent looking at the other international day presentations, trying new foods and getting to know other cultures. It was a great day! Here are some pictures.
Field Trip: Monday is the field trip to Humber Arboretum. As we will be spending most of the day outside make sure your child is dressed very warm! Make sure you have a lunch and snacks packed. We will have time to eat hot lunch that day when we return to school if one has been ordered for that day. When we return we will be playing with the pinata from international day. If you do not want your child to bring some home (They will not be eating it at school ), please let me know. Your child is to wear their gym uniform.
Re-registration: A reminder to hand in registration packages! Hand in your packages before classes fill up! They are due on February 11th

homework folder instead of jolly phonics. The students have a worksheet to do
for each new blend they will be working on. This week they need to do the “oa” worksheet. This is due on Friday.

Please note: ALL students must
wear the “winter” uniform (long sleeve shirt and sweater vest or cardigan)- NO
T-SHIRTS PLEASE – If students are not dressed in their “winter” uniform, a
uniform violation form will be sent home.
- Please make sure that your child has hat, gloves, snow pants, coat and boots every day as it is very cold.
