I was away today at a round-table conference but Ms. Barros had lots of fun with them today!
Layla and Aydan filled their charts today! Great work!
French: Please see Mlle. Jessica's blog for more information
Calendar: Today our routine was led by Shreya.
Phonics: Today they continued to talk about the "oi" sound. They made a list of words on the board and then practiced sounding out words using flashcards. They were in pairs and they had to sound out the words they were given and think of as many sentences as they can.
Gym: Please see Mr. Slyk's blog for more information.
Lunch/Recess
Journal: My favourite food is...because...
Arts night: The students practiced their song and dance in the auditorium today, as the school had a run through of everyone's performance.
Lunch/Recess
Math: Today we continued to talk about measurement today and comparing sizes. First we compared sizes of different people in our class and decided who was tallest, shortest. Next we put them in order of height from smallest to largest and vise versa. Next we used different items in the room and measured them against 10 snap cubes to decide what was bigger or smaller than the snap cubes.
Have a great night!
Miss. Ross
