Day 38

Hello,

Here is what we did today!

Calendar: Today our routine was led by Aashrith.
Gym: Please see Ms.Lovan's blog for more information
Phonics: Today we continued to work on the letter Uu. We practiced the song and did the actions along with it. Next we made a list of different words that start with Uu or have a Uu in it. Next the completed a worksheet
Library: Today we went to go bring our library books back and then switch them for ones that we will be able to read independently. We are working on sounding out the words and not giving up when we get stuck.

Lunch/Recess

Journal: Today we wrote about words that start with the letter Uu.
Unit of inquiry: Today we continued to talk about meat and where it comes from. We talked about cows, chickens and pigs, the type food they give us and the type of meat we get from them. Next we did a matching activity.
French: Please see Mlle. Jessica's blog for more information.

Lunch/Recess

Math: We continued to work on AABB patterns. We made some patterns together on the carpet, found the core of the pattern and what would come next in the pattern. Next we did a worksheet in which they had to figure out what comes next. They are getting really good at patterns!
Daily Five: We did our daily rotation.

 

 

Reminder that aftercare payments are due November 16th 2015. After this date there will be late charges.

 

Please make sure that your child has three pairs of shoes at school: Gym shoes, black shoes and outdoor shoes (preferably boots)

Reminders:

 

 

·         Students are to come to school on Monday and Wednesday in their gym uniform. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, students are to come to school in their full school uniform.

·         Please make sure that your child is wearing the proper shirt for winter. This is a long sleeve polo shirt and no short sleeves.

·         Please make sure your child has a pair of black dress shoes and a pair of gym shoes labeled and to be left at the school for their indoor shoes this year.

·         Please initial agendas on the right side of the book daily to indicate you have read the agenda slip on the left hand side. Any new information that pops up throughout the week will be written on the right side of the agenda.
