Day 67

Hello,

Here is what we did today! Today was a different schedule due to the Christmas concert.

Calendar: Today our routine was led by Ethan

Christmas concert practice
Phonics: Today we worked on short Uu. We talked about the difference between the sounds and how a short Uu sounds like a "punch in the stomach". Next we made a list of words that have a short Uu sound. Finally we finished off with a worksheet.

Lunch/Recess

Journal: Today we wrote our lists to Santa. We talked about what we: want, need, will wear and will read. They did really well!

Christmas concert!!

Math: We practiced adding using counters. This is a good skill to master as the numbers start to get higher. They can use this skill to help them out.
Daily Five: We did our regular activities

·         Christmas concert costume: Students should wear black bottoms and a red, white and/or green top. Please come dressed in their Christmas concert costume that morning.

·         Wednesday December 16^th 2015 and Thursday December 17^th 2015: Christmas bake sale! Please put their money inside Ziploc bag with their name on it inside their agenda.

·         Thursday December 17^th 2015: Spirit Day Wear red, white and green!-

Reminders:

·         Students are to come to school on Monday and Wednesday in their gym uniform. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, students are to come to school in their full school uniform.

·         Please make sure that your child is wearing the proper shirt for winter. This is a long sleeve polo shirt and no short sleeves.

·         Please make sure your child has a pair of black dress shoes and a pair of gym shoes labeled and to be left at the school for their indoor shoes this year.

·         Please make sure that your child has hat, gloves and scarf as it is starting to get cold outside
