Here is what we did today!
Calendar: Today our routine was led by Justin.
Phonics: Today we reviewed the short a sound! We made a long list of words that have a short Aa. They remembered a lot of words! Next they made words out of play-doh that have a long Aa from memory.
Journal: As we were farmers today we talked about " As a farmer I would grow..."
Math: Today we used smarties to make graphs! In pairs I gave them 18 smarties and they had to tally the smarties up according to their colour. Next they had to make a graph. They need to remember that the number on the tally chart needs to match their graphs. In addition they need to remember to start their graphs on the bottom on the page.
Lunch/Recess
Unit of inquiry: Today we did our farming presentations! They all did so well and remembered so much about their food and how it started on the farm and ended up on their tables. I was very proud of them! Here is some pictures of the people who brought in their food!

The math data management test will be December 7th 2015. This is a short unit and as a result, will be a short test. There will be a review sent home this week to practice.

Reminders:
· Students are to come to school onMonday and Wednesday in their gym uniform. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, students are to come to school in their full school uniform.
· Please make sure that your child is wearing the proper shirt for winter. This is a long sleeve polo shirt and no short sleeves.
· Please make sure your child has a pair of black dress shoes and a pair of gym shoes labeled and to be left at the school for their indoor shoes this year.
· Please make sure that your child has hat, gloves and scarf as it is starting to get cold outside
