MYP Shakespeare play!

The MYP shakespeare play will take play Wednesday March 23rd 2016 at 7:00. From 6-7 the grade 7s and 8s will be hosting a bake sale to raise money for the arts program.

Also, on Wednesday night we will be providing child care for any families who have younger children and with to enjoy the show in peace. This will be in Ms. Padovan's room and will start at 6:30.

It's a great performance! Hope to see you there!

ACTION

Action is a very significant aspect of the IB learning process. In the PYP Program, students will engage in 6 Unit of Inquiries (UOI) throughout the school year, with each unit being approximately 6 weeks long. During each UOI, 3 students from the class will be assigned as the “Action Stars”, which means that they are encouraged to use what has been learned and apply it to the “real world.” The purpose of this initiative is to help further knowledge about what has been learned within the classroom. Example: If we are learning about recycling, students might go home and tell you that they want to implement a recycling program with you at home, or they may do something simple like telling you that something you were throwing in the garbage may be recycled. Students who are not assigned this role for the current UOI being taught are still encouraged to show ACTION! Action comes in many forms; it might be something small to something very large, but as long as the children understand the concepts, action is important no matter the size!
