Day 33

Happy Tuesday! 

Today we started the day with picture day and everyone smiled nicely and looked very intelligent with their uniforms on! I can't wait to see how the pictures turn out. 

Here is our day. 

Calendar: Today our routine was led by Julia. 

Phonics: Today we continued to work on the letter Gg. We practiced the song and made a list of words that begin with that letter. Next the students completed a worksheet on the letter Gg.

Journal: Today we talked about Halloween! They told me what they are going to be and then wrote about it in their journals. We have improved a lot on stretching out words on our own. I am so proud of them! 

Lunch/Recess

Unit of inquiry: Today we continued with our presentations and then read some Halloween stories together.

Math: Today we worked on sound and action patterns! The children were in groups and they made either a sound pattern or an action pattern with their group and then presented to the class! They had so much fun! 

Tomorrow is casual day and if you wish to have your child participate it is $2.00. 

Tomorrow is also the bake sale. The items will be between $1.00 - $2.00.

Reminders: 

-          Students are to come to school on Monday and Wednesday in their gym uniform. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, students are to come to school in their full school uniform.

-          Please make sure that your child is wearing the proper shirt for winter. This is a long sleeve polo shirt and no short sleeves.

-          Please make sure your child has a pair of black dress shoes and a pair of gym shoes labeled and to be left at the school for their indoor shoes this year.

-          Please initial agendas on the right side of the book daily to indicate you have read the agenda slip on the left hand side. Any new information that pops up throughout the week will be written on the right side of the agenda.
