Day 51

Hello,

Here is what we did today.

Calendar: Today our routine was led by Shreya.
Gym: Please see Ms. Lovan's blog for more information.

Special guest!: Next we had a special guest from Ms. Dawn from the dairy farmers of Ontario! She spent an hour with us today talking about the different types of cows in Ontario, the process of getting milk from a cow, what we can make with milk and the daily schedule of being a dairy farmer. The kids had so much fun, they knew so much information and they learned a lot too! Here are some pictures from the visit.

After Ms. Dawn left we talked about what we learned and our favourite part and then read "Click, clack moo cows that type"

Lunch/Recess

Phonics: Today we continued talking about Long Ee. They understand what sound a long Ee makes but are having a hard time remembering that it needs to have either "ee", "ea" or "e_e". We made a list of words that have a long Ee in them and spelled them together. Next we did a worksheet in which they had to colour in pictures that had a long Ee and fill in the beginning of a word that has a long Ee in it.

French: Please see Mlle. Jessica's blog for more information.

Lunch/Recess

Math: Today we started learning about graphing! We did some graphing work on the carpet using masking tape; it is called people graphing! We asked different questions and then analyzed who liked each option more. The children picked up on the ideas very quickly!

Spelling: We did a spelling pre-test today to see how they are going to do on the test on Friday and which words they need to practice more.

Hope you have a good night!

Miss. Ross
